Description
Stibus is the trade name of the public transport network for the SMTUS (Sambre joint association for urban transport), which covers 29 municipalities in the Maubeuge area.
Since its creation in 1979, this network has been managed by the SEMITIB, a semi-public company for inter-municipality transport in the Sambre basin. In 2012, this semi-public company became a local public company, known as SPLTISA (Sambre-Avesnois local public company for inter-municipality transport).
Stibus currently has 17 scheduled lines and an electric shuttle serving Maubeuge city centre.
